JOBS: National Coach - The Netherlands

An exciting opportunity exists to join the Cricket Netherlands (KNCB), one of the six ICC High Performance Program Associate Members. The Netherlands have qualified for the last three ICC Cricket World Cup tournaments and for the 2014 T20 World Cup in Bangladesh.
The KNCB is seeking a highly qualified National Coach initially to develop and prepare their National Team to qualify in 2015 for the next World Cup. The National Coach will be responsible for the overall management of the international program which includes planning, development, implementation and evaluation of specialised cricket training and competition programs, and development of younger talent for the future.
A programme of international fixtures is in place, and plans are being explored for further ODI’s against Full and Associate ICC member countries outside of ICC feature tournaments.
The successful candidate will be in position to assist to establish a strategic direction for the national program that is in keeping with KNCB's overall vision for the future.
Role:
Responsible for the overall development, management and implementation of the National Team high performance cricket program situated in The Netherlands.
Requirements:
- Preferred ECB Level 4 qualification or equivalent under a “National Coach Education Scheme”.
- Demonstrated coaching experience at elite level.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications would be an advantage.
The successful candidate is also likely to possess international playing experience; an ability to plan, manage and evaluate programs for elite athletes; proven management and outstanding communication skills; an understanding of the concepts of sports science and sports medicine; and an appreciation of the role of the coach in the modern cricket system.
Salary and conditions will be negotiated with the successful candidate. For the right candidate there will be an opportunity to negotiate a longer term contract

The Position
A senior coach to work primarily with the National Team alongside the CEO, Richard Cox, and the Captain, Peter Borren. The successful applicant will be expected to bring to the Netherlands Squad proven success in coaching at International Level in all Events and matches.
Responsibilities
The National Coach will be responsible for the day to day running and the collective performance of the Netherlands team. He will oversee the development of individual players and will be entrusted with the culture and style of play that ensures the consistent success of the team and the continued development of Dutch cricketers.
The Person
The successful candidate will have the following skills/qualities:

- ECB Level 3 qualified or at least equivalent
- Success as a cricket coach at first-class or international level
- A specialist skill at elite level
- Knowledge and understanding of sports science
- Knowledge, understanding and application of team performance analysis software
- Ability to deliver innovative and structured squad training sessions
- Success in implementing individual development programs
- Organized and disciplined
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Innovator
Desirable and Preffered
- ECB Level 4 qualified or at least equivalent
- Experience as head coach or leader of an elite high performance team
