Surrey CCC is searching for an appropriately qualified coach to take on the role of Performance Manager.
Salary and Benefits: Salary circa 30-35k, 23 days holiday, up to 28 days, up to 5% discretionary bonus, non contributory pension scheme, private Health care.

As part of the Performance team you will be responsible, in conjunction with the department, for the development of Surrey`s Elite player pathway and all aspects related to player development
Specific duties:
- Working within the Performance Department, the management and delivery of a structured and co-ordinated approach to talent identification and player development. This will be in accordance with Surrey’s Youth County Coaching Programme and Performance Policy
- Manage, plan and develop the Performance Courses at 8–10 age group, in conjunction with the Performance staff
- Manage, plan and develop the County Age Group coaching and match play programme. Working in particular with the Under 9-12 Boys age groups
- Manage, plan and develop the Boys District Programme both winter coaching and summer playing programme
- Head and oversee the Women`s and Girl`s Elite Player programme to include management of key stakeholders from County U11 to the Women`s Senior side
- Manage and be accountable for the financial planning and monitoring of the above Performance Programmes
The successful candidate will have the following experience / skills / qualities:
Essential:
- Strong understanding of player pathway structure with relevance to the development of professional cricketers from playground to Test arena
- Min of two years experience of coaching young people and groups in a range of environments including representative settings
- UKCC Level 3 Qualification or equivalent
- Knowledge and understanding of best practice within the area of Talent ID
- Ability to successfully manage and deliver multiple projects
- Lead by example and inspire others to adopt best practice coaching sessions
- Ability to develop and build strong working relationships with team members and partners at all levels
- Ability to work Independently and within a team
- IT literate with good understanding of Microsoft Office
- High standard of time management
- Has in place valid CRB, Safeguarding & Protecting Children certificate, First Aid certificate, member of the ECBCA
Other:
- A full clean current driving licence and access to own transport
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends
Desirable:
- Ability to set and achieve a defined budget
- UKCC level 4 Qualification
- Degree in relevant area
- A clearly defined philosophy on player development.
- Provide reports and information to Academy Director on Elite Player Development Programmes as and when requested
- Opportunities to deliver coaching support within all areas of the Performance department;this includes our EPP and Academy programme
