JOBS: Elite Cricket Performance Director - Derbyshire CCC
Closing date: 16th December 2013
As part of Derbyshire County Cricket Club’s Cricket Management Strategy, the Club is seeking a highly-motivated and successful Elite Cricket Performance Director to lead all of our cricket operations.
Derbyshire has an ambitious Cricket Strategy in place and the implementation of an elite cricket performance model is the next phase of the Club’s quest for sustainable on-field success across all three domestic competitions, combined with the desire to produce England cricketers.
The new structure will see the key disciplines of Strength & Conditioning, Psychology, Lifestyle, Batting, Bowling, Wicketkeeping and Fielding developed in a consistent and integrated Elite Player Pathway from the junior setup through to the first team.
The new Elite Performance Director will be accountable for the overall Elite Player Pathway including the strategic development of the core disciplines, the selection, appointment and development of coaches, coordination with the DCB of the Elite Player Pathway at junior level and responsibility for First XI team selection and tactics.
The successful candidate will be one of the appointees to the Supervisory Board of the Club and be expected to take a full and participatory role in Supervisory Board affairs. The post-holder will report directly to the DCCC Supervisory Board and, on a daily operational basis, to the Chief Executive.
